The major upgrade is seen in the chassis, now equipped with a new mono-shock incorporating a larger piston.
However, the spotlight shines on the adoption of a 48 mm diameter Kayaba racing-derived fork, a testament to Ducati’s commitment to integrating racing-grade technology into its consumer models.
This model will come with fully adjustable suspension and engineered for the rugged demands of off-road riding, the suspension travel has been augmented by an impressive 20 mm.
This results in a total travel of 250 mm at the front and 240 mm at the rear, offering riders unparalleled control and comfort on the most challenging terrains.
Another striking feature is the choice of wheels. The DesertX Rally is fitted with Takasago Excel rims, known for their superior craftsmanship.
These central-spoked wheels, accompanied by inner tubes, mirror the solutions adopted in professional racing bikes, ensuring reliability and performance at the highest levels.
When it comes to engines it boasts the robust 937 cc V-twin engine, a hallmark of Ducati’s engineering.
This powerhouse continues to deliver a formidable 110 hp at 9,250 rpm and a torque of 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm, promising a blend of power and agility that is sure to resonate with both off-road enthusiasts and Ducati aficionados.
This motorcycle will be available from January 2024 and this launch not only reinforces Ducati’s standing in the motorcycle industry but also sets a new standard for off-road motorcycles, combining Ducati’s iconic design with unparalleled off-road capabilities.
