The “Campioni in Festa” event, held at the Unipol Arena in Bologna, was a grand celebration of Ducati’s remarkable achievements in the world of motorcycle racing in 2023.
The arena and surrounding streets were adorned in red, the iconic color of Ducati, to welcome fans and honor the evening’s stars – Ducati’s champion riders.
The event was attended by the three 2023 World Champions representing Ducati: Francesco Bagnaia, MotoGP World Champion with the Desmosedici GP of the Ducati Lenovo Team; Alvaro Bautista, WorldSBK Champion with the Panigale V4 R of the Aruba. it Racing – Ducati Team; and Nicolò Bulega, WorldSSP Champion with the Panigale V2 of Team Aruba. it Racing WSSP. Joining them were MotoGP podium finishers Jorge Martìn of Pramac Racing Team and Marco Bezzecchi of VR46 Racing Team, showcasing Ducati’s dominance in major two-wheel racing competitions.
The event also celebrated Ducati’s history and its role as an ambassador of “Made in Italy” across the globe.
The show opened with the Rockin’1000 music band, featuring Power100, a selection of one hundred musicians.
They played iconic rock songs, setting the stage for an overview of Ducati’s unforgettable 2023 racing season.
Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali and Ducati Corse General Manager Luigi Dall’Igna addressed the audience, highlighting Ducati’s corporate and sporting achievements and their ongoing desire for growth and improvement.
The highlight of the evening was the celebration of Ducati’s 2023 season heroes. The achievements of Nicolò Bulega and Alvaro Bautista in production-derived bike World Championships were celebrated, and the duo will join forces as teammates in Team Aruba. it Racing – Ducati in 2024.
The event also honored the MotoGP successes, with a special focus on Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia, the two-time MotoGP World Champion.
An exciting announcement was Ducati’s venture into motocross, set to debut in the 2024 Italian Motocross Championship.
Alessandro Lupino and Antonio Cairoli, the new faces of this program, appeared on stage along with the Ducati champions and key figures of Ducati Corse.
The event concluded with a DJ set by Martin Solveig, creating a festive atmosphere for the attendees.
Additionally, Ducati revealed a series of exclusive, limited-edition Ducati Panigale motorcycles to commemorate the record-breaking 2023 racing season.
These bikes, featuring special liveries and autographed by the riders, include the Panigale V4 Bagnaia, Panigale V4 Bautista, Panigale V2 Bulega, Panigale V4 Martin, and Panigale V4 Bezzecchi, produced in limited numbers corresponding to the riders’ numbers.
To further celebrate the season’s triumphs, special edition t-shirts replicating those worn by the Ducati Lenovo Team and Aruba. it Racing Team during their title celebrations were made available.
Finally, the press conference served as a platform to announce the presentation date for the official Ducati Corse teams for the 2024 season, which will be revealed during the “Campioni in Pista” event in Madonna di Campiglio, scheduled for 21-23 January 2024.
